Presentation of the Yacht Club The goal of the club (located on the Caen marina) is to federate different styles of navigations through friendly meetings on various topics such as : safety, man at sea, fire, cooking, fishing, first aid, astro navigation, etc… Lectures given by "circum-navigators" deal with longer trips (2 or 3 boats per year leave from Caen for a world tour or a navigation in far-away countries). Helpful and friendly relationships (loan of cards, exchanges of competences etc…) are to be found among members, as all of them may not have their boats in Caen. Outings are regularly organised : sea food collecting , rowing down the river, etc… Thanks to its logistics, the club assures the right development of these activities. The club has got about sixty members, membership amounts to 25 euros for 2002. Contact : Caen Yacht Club
